The Collective

On April 8, 2017, LAB Minneapolis curated their inaugural event, The Collective, celebrating the creative community of Minneapolis. The event took place at Loring Social, just off Hennepin Avenue in Loring Park. The day was filled with ingenuity, inspiration, community and creativity beyond my expectations! Upon entering the event, I was awestruck by the enchanted balloon and greenery arrangements that Girl Friday Creative installed at every corner and crevice throughout the venue. The curated marketplace was filled with hand-crafted goods by local artisans (see below for full listings) and there was even a live art installation by Ashley Mary Art! While partaking in the speaker sessions upstairs, one could indulge in delicious treats by Maddy and Maize, Thumbs Cookies, Isadore Nut Co and The Cookie Creative. Coffee fixes throughout the morning were provided by Coffee Cart Mpls, while afternoon drinks were compliments of Lion Heart Cider. Savory snacks by Karmic Kitchens and Damico Catering were additional bonuses to the indulgent day. The list of inspirational speakers included Lisa Hackwith and Erin Husted of Hackwith Design House, Kate Arends of Wit & Delight, John Mooty of Wilson & Willy's, Marco Zappia of Bittercube Bitters, Ashley Mary of Ashley Mary Art, and Kate O'Hara of Fay & Belle Rugs. The day left me feeling inspired and extremely grateful to be a part of such an innovative and creative community!
